Fundraising for Brake helps us to save lives and support people bereaved and injured in crashes. There are lots of different ways you can fundraise for Brake, either individually, in your workplace, or with a group of friends.
Fundraising for a charity is a great way for your organisation to put something back and show you care, and it can also be a really great team building exercise for employees.

Brake works with a wide range of organisations that share our passion for improving road safety and supporting those affected by road crashes. To find out more about opportunities to work with Brake, visit our partnership opportunities page.
Charity of the year
Does your organisation have a charity of the year scheme? Nominating Brake as your charity of the year is a great way to engage your employees with our life-saving road safety messages at the same time as raising funds to help us to continue our work.
Give as you earn (UK)
Employees: Did you know that you can give money to Brake by having a small deduction made from your monthly salary? Your donation is taken from your untaxed income, so every pound for Brake only costs you 80p (at basic rate tax).
Brake is registered with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) for payroll giving. Go to the CAF website, and start donating today.
Employers: You can support your employees' efforts by matching (or part-matching) their employee donations via Payroll Giving. Visit the CAF website to find out more.
If you'd like to raise funds for Brake but aren't sure how, we can work with you to develop a tailored fundraising programme to suit your organisation. We can help you every step of the way to make sure your fundraising activity, no matter how large or small, is successful.
Some of our most popular organisational fundraising activities are:
- Bright Day for Brake: A Bright Day is a dress differently day with a difference - everyone wears their brightest clothes, and makes a small donation to Brake. Bright Days remind drivers to watch out for pedestrians and cyclists on our roads.
- Corporate and club dinners: Hold a gala dinner to raise funds for Brake. You could raise funds through tickets sales, or run fundraising activities, such as a raffle or auction, on the night. If your organisation already has an annual dinner in place, why not run this year's event in support of Brake?
- Challenge events: Why not run, trek, or cycle for Brake? You can register for an existing event, or if you're feeling ambitious, you can set up your own event, with our support, just for your employees and customers. Challenge events are great teambuilders for your employees, as well as great fundraisers for Brake!
